...I'VE GOT A HEADACHE...

...came home from work early today as I had a raging headache - first one for months...

Thankfully, I feel much better now so thought I'd blog about it - sad isn't it?

Woke up this morning with a thumper but thought if I ignore it'd go away unfortunately I was wrong & it just got more & more intense so had to phone Dave around 11 o'clock to pick me up & have spent the rest of the afternoon in a bed in a darkened room after dosing myself with Maxalt (works wonders, I tell you)

Anyway, up and about now - had cheese & crackers with a glass of juice for tea (not concentrated muck - freshly squeezed - I hate the cheap stuff!) read the local paper & now on here - gonna eBay in a mo' too

....my! I do feel better, don't I...?

...Just a quickie update as I'm a bit knackered this evening...

Work was 'off the hook' today literally - phone was ringing as I walked in and didn't stop until I left - bet there'll be loads of messages on the answer machine when I return in the morning when it'll start all over again ~ just as well I like it there, isn't it??

I work in the next village, couple of miles away, at a small coach company - been there since May '09 - the last fifteen months has just flown by mainly helped by being busy & getting on with the bosses :D

I started as booking officer just to answer the phone & taking bookings (strangely enough) but now do pretty much everything including recording Tacho's (didn't even know what they were before I started!), dealing with drivers - boy! they can be like 'old women' sometimes :D, answering the phone, taking bookings & getting the 2011 brochure sorted etc etc

...I'm An All Time Hero, Really... :0D

...IT'S BEEN TOO LONG...

...I can't believe it's been well over a year since I last blogged - what have I been doing? - well, working mostly I guess...and loving every minute of it if I'm honest -- never thought I'd admit to that --

The past year have taken a different turn for Dave & I - we moved to lovely Lincolnshire to refurbish the place & then move on to the next (something we've been doing since 2001) - but what with the UK housing market as it is we decided to stay put for a while & started looking for work to support us & pay the mortgage - you know the boring stuff -

Dave's started his own DIY/Gardening maintenance business - there's a load of unkept gardens here - I found an admin job in the next village working for a small coach company....

The job is manic - most of the time - the bosses are great to get along with, they pay me a decent wage & as I'm self-employed can pretty much come & go as I like --sounds ideal, doesn't it??

And we've quickly settled into the 'country life' making new friends & getting along with the neighbours - which always helps of course - I think to be honest we'll be here a while - we now call the place 'home' love the position fields to the rear and side of us - we're detached with no-one overlooking us - it's bliss true bliss - there's something really nice about hearing the sound of birds all day long & just the occasional tractor in the distance

...I think we could be here a long time -- a very long time...
